Summer Camps at St. Andrews Conservatory of Music
	July 6-10, Summer Instrumental Academy is open to middle and high school students. The program is an opportunity to sharpen musical skills and work with gifted instructors in master classes, chamber ensembles, and concert. Master classes and small ensemble coaching will be available in strings, woodwinds, keyboard and brass. The students and faculty will perform in the sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1. Tuition is $110 per student before June 1, or $125 after June 1.
	July 27-31 Summer Music Camp is open to grades K-5 with no previous music experience required. Students will spend their mornings singing in choir, playing  instruments (percussion), their choice of elective (hand chimes, guitar, recorder, or organ). $60 per student before June 1; $75 per student after June 1

Young Composer's Challenge 2015

ELIGIBILITY

1. Participation and entry are free!
2. Entrants must be U.S. residents.
3. Entrants must be between the ages of 13 and 18 years at the time of submission.

PRIZES

At the Composium, the top three orchestral composers will be awarded $1000 each and the top three ensemble composers will be awarded $500 each.

Tampa Bay Aquarium Homeschool Day

Come to the Aquarium for monthly Homeschool science classes. Each class uses inquiry based learning and hands-on experiments and activities to discover science. Classes are 45 minutes. 2015 update!

The very talented Ms. Hannah Roman will be teaching the advanced class from 7:30-8:30 as well as the acting class during the 5:15-7:15 class.  We are so happy to have her back with us!  Other things we have already planned - a vocals 2 part harmony session, and the VOJ Jr.'s are going to sing the beautiful "Somewhere Out There" from American Tale for one of their pieces (as long as we have enough students register for the class).

The deadline to register for a spot in the acting class is Jan. 12th, but I will accept registrations up until Jan. 28th for VOJ and VOJ Jr.  I request you not wait until the last minute as it makes it incredibly hard to plan pieces, but I also understand having a crazy schedule and not knowing.  But,if you know now you are going to register could you go ahead and register?
