A relaxing time of fellowship with other moms and instruction from our veteran, homeschool science teachers on teaching Christ-centered science in grades 4 through 12. We'll do a variety of labs, dissections, talk about teaching, supplies, etc. You'll certainly learn in our teaching sessions but you'll also benefit from the wisdom and experience of other homeschool moms in time spent hanging out and relaxing with them. You'll love the labs and will have new labs and inspiration to take home to your children and/or homeschool co-op classes. Accommodations and Meals. Arrive between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Friday, October 3rd. We'll have dinner around 6:30. The retreat will conclude with lunch on Sunday, October 5th at 11:30 am. We're often asked, "is the retreat really only $25 - is there a catch?" It really is only $25 and there is no catch! It's our way of supporting and encouraging homeschooling moms. :) Overnight accommodations are in "bunk cabins" - several bunk beds in a cabin with a bathroom (or bathrooms). Our science sessions and hang-out time are in the facility meeting room and common / living areas. Meals are in the facility cafeteria - usually great food. :) Only for Moms While we all love children, this retreat is only for moms. We ask that you not bring any children, including babies. Bring a Friend (or Friends) If you're coming with a friend (or friends) you'll all be able to room in the same cabin. When you arrive at the retreat you can choose your cabin with your friend(s).
